Xylitol is a naturally occurring sugar alcohol found in many plants and also produced in small amounts by the human body. We use it in RiseWell formulas because it supports a healthier oral environment by making it harder for certain plaque-causing bacteria to thrive, while also adding a gentle, clean sweetness without relying on artificial sweeteners. The amount used in oral care is very small and intended for topical use in the mouth as part of a daily routine.

RiseWell ingredients are naturally effective, 100% safe to swallow, SLS free, paraben free, and propylene glycol free.

Yes, all RiseWell oral care products are perfectly safe for children. In fact, you don't have to worry if they swallow some of the natural toothpaste, as hydroxyapatite and the other clean ingredients we use are 100% safe to swallow. We think our products are perfect for a growing family. We even make a toothpaste safe for kids that tastes like cake batter!

All of our RiseWell products are safe to use during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.

Our manufacturing facility contains products with shea nut butter, macadamia nut, sunflower, and coconut oil. However, we have an allergy segregation protocol that isolates known allergens and prevents cross contamination. Our products are NOT made in the same facility as products containing peanut or peanut bi-products, eggs, dairy or flax. We are also 100% vegan and gluten free. Our heavy metals COAs confirm that RiseWell's Heavy Metal levels are far below even the strictest safety thresholds, including California's Proposition 65 (Prop 65) limits. RiseWell has an RDA of 85 for our original line of toothpastes, and an RDA of 65 for our PRO Line. The pH of our products is 8, as determined through third-party testing.

Yes, our products and packaging are BPA, PFAS, and Phthalate-free.

Yes! RiseWell tubes are composed of LDPE plastic (recycle code 4) and the caps are made from PP (polypropylene, recycle code 5). Just cut your tubes in half, rinse, and toss in the recycling bin! ♻️

Our co-founder and dentist, Dr. Derek, recommend the following oral care routine for optimal results: 1) floss. 2) Rinse for 30 seconds (with an alcohol-free mouthwash like RiseWell's Balancing Mouthwash). 3) Brush for 2 minutes in light gentle circles with a hydroxyapatite toothpaste (spit and NO rinsing after to allow the hydroxyapatite to have longer contact time on the enamel).

All of our manufacturing facilities are in the United States, except for our Teflon Free Floss, which is made in Italy.

No. RiseWell toothpaste contains a small amount of xylitol, which can be toxic to dogs. Dogs’ metabolism and lack of appropriate enzymes prevents them from properly digesting xylitol. We use xylitol for flavor and microbiome benefits, but it is not safe to use with pets. If your pet happens to find their way into your toothpaste, contact your Vet or Pet Poison Control immediately (1-800-213-6680).

There are no age restrictions to start using RiseWell products. In fact, we recommend little ones to start using our natural toothpaste as soon as their first tooth erupts. Baby teeth need hydroxyapatite, too! And don’t worry about spitting, hydroxyapatite is completely safe to be ingested!

There are no added poisons in our products, so you won’t find a warning label on our hydroxyapatite toothpastes like you would on other toothpastes.
