For Smile Moderne (and me), our niche happens to be our love for all things Disney. You can find me on Instagram as @happiestdentist because when I’m not taking care of my patients, I’m enjoying the Happiest Place on Earth. Anyone—not just kids—can partake in a celebration of Disney, since most of us grew up watching their movies. We like to get our patients involved in experiencing and creating magic. By knowing that these fun elements exist and occur at our office, our patients feel more comfortable and ease. They’re able to associate fun, happy experiences with the dental office. Here in Orange County, we’re known as “the Disney office.”

Even patients who aren’t Disney fans appreciate the unique experience at Smile Moderne, especially our attention to detail when it comes to dental products and healthier alternatives. RiseWell has been integral to our elevated patient experience—it’s the official product in our hygiene goodie bags for all new patients. Every patient also leaves with new knowledge about healthier, safer, and more natural products that benefit their oral health. Patients appreciate that no detail or ingredient goes unnoticed. Many of our patients feel like they are our friends or family before they even arrive for their first appointment, and they often feel like they’re visiting a friend’s home rather than an office.

In addition to patient involvement, we value team involvement and unity. Patients can tell when the team is having fun—and a happy team translates to a high quality of treatment. Social media, especially Instagram and TikTok, has allowed our team to share the life and essence of Smile Moderne that the patients can follow and enjoy from the comfort of their home. Each team member has their own important role, and our patients are able to connect with us on multiple levels due to these various channels.

Now, in our case, associating our office with the Happiest Place on Earth may seem like a very high bar. It’s not easy comparing cavity fillings to Space Mountain! But our joy is genuine, and we combine our innovative and caring approach to dentistry with our enthusiasm for Disney. That’s how we’re creating happy memories for our patients, one visit at a time.
