Alkalizing Mouthwash

The ability of xylitol to inhibit the growth of bad bacteria has been understood for decades. Research going back to the 1970s has shown a 50% reduction in plaque levels among people eating food sweetened with xylitol. It is thought to work by interfering with the bacteria’s ability to produce acid as well as their ability to stick together in a biofilm, and by raising the PH of the mouth which makes it harder for cavity-causing bacteria to thrive.
Peppermint and other mint oils have been found to kill what are called anaerobic bacteria (the ones that do well in low oxygen environments), including the bacteria that cause gum disease. Plus it does wonders for morning breath!
We use only natural sweeteners derived from berries and, of course, the stevia plant
